So my mom is 60 and she needs a new fridge. She has never really done this stuff herself and never needed financing or credit. So I went over the application with her and I said “we need your sin number so they can see your credit standing and if you pay things back on time” and my mom freaked out saying it’s a scam and you never give your SIN number to anyone ever or they will steal your identities. I tried to explain that’s not the case and they need to know that information like if you pay on time or not before they can approve you for financing and she just started yelling at me saying you never do that and she doesn’t want it.

I’m literally so frustrated at this point because ive found her 5 or 6 different options and stores with different deals and she’s managed to complain about every single one. Like one that would bring the old fridge down to the curb and she was angry because they don’t take it away and I offered to call someone to take it but she’s already convinced it will sit on our lawn for days and weeks before someone comes
