Anyone suffer with lower back pain?

I have been having horrible lower back pain! I looked up stretches and have been doing them regularly with no relief. It is so bad it’s getting in the way of everyday tasks. I have an appointment on July 13th with my doctor but in the meantime does anyone have any advice for relief?

Maybe you can try using an ice pack or a heating pad? I get a lot of relief with my heating pad. 
Also, ibuprofen or aleve may help with inflammation.  
If it's a muscular issue, a back roller can help. Or maybe even taking a nice warm bath could give you some relief.

Pilates. Stotts or a reformer. All the way. I have a degenerating L5 SI also bulging and a tear. Have always struggled with back pain since then. Pilates works miracles.

i fractured a couple vertebrae 11 years ago and i still suffer greatly pain wise from it, and i also have moderate case of scoliosis in my lower spine/tailbone. double whammy. keep doing those stretches, you don’t really know how much they help until you haven’t done then in a couple weeks/a month and your back tightens up really bad. lots of stretches, keep an eye on your posture(!!), do non intensive core exercises, try not to sit on hard chairs/surfaces for too long (in my personal experience this triggers my most intense pain) and if you can get ahold of a physical therapist, do it. nothing helped nearly as much as PT in my experience. its a long process but it helps sooo much! if you have any numbness anywhere keep note of that, as it might be a pinched nerve as well.
