I'm not telling poeple but should i??

I'm 15 weeks. I'll be 16 weeks on Thursday and I'm still not telling people.  It took me 8 years and I had a miscarriage 2 years ago. I didnt make it past week 6 with that one. The doctor has high hopes but when I asked her my chances she said it's still not clear bc of complications.  Due to all the issues I'm not comfortable telling everyone. Social media is oblivious. I was fired for being pregnant ( already filled charges and have lawyer) I'm just not ready. My parents and thier spouses know. My in laws know and my sisters know. 
My mother keeps asking me to let her tell, and let my step dad tell his friends.... and I keep saying no. My sister keeps slipping up and telling other poeple. They are making me crazy. Should I just go ahead and announce since they wont stop....

I didn't tell people that I was pregnant with my second child until I was 22 weeks. Do whatever works for you.

I ended up announcing before I was ready because some of the people I told were slipping up and if people were gonna know it better tf be from me. 🥴

If you want to be the one to tell people you might just want to announce. It seems like they’re telling people anyways so either it’ll come from them or you and you have to decide if you want them to take that away from you.

I had that happen to me I told my Aunty that I’m close with and turns out she told almost our whole family without even asking if it’s ok. I even told her not to tell anyone yet until we announce because I wanted to announce on Christmas in a special way. And when I did mostly everyone already knew and I was very upset that she took that away from my husband and I. It’s super annoying and upsetting when people want to share your business I get they are happy and excited but that’s up to you if you want to share the news to everyone. But do it on your terms and when your ready.

We told our immediate families at 10 weeks - after the confirmation ultrasound. Of course both our fathers told people despite clearly being told not to. Therefore we told them next time they won’t know lol  After a good NIPT I told my closest girlfriends. We had a 16 week appt today and heard her heartbeat so now it’s free to be told to anyone. I haven’t announced on social media and honestly am not sure when/if I will. Not sure why, I just feel some type of way about it lol. Bottom line, whether you tell people at 4 weeks, 4 months or after the birth, it’s 100% your call!

I hate that it happened to me too, I told my immediate family my mom, dad & brother and my brother didn’t know and put it on Facebook for the whole family to see. Let’s say a lot of my family was pretty pissed they had to find out on Facebook.

Wait till you feel comfortable, thats what you are saying you want, so im just confirming its your news to tell when you are ready. At the same time keep in mind you can't control what others do or say, so don't let it stress you too much! I am excited for your journey! Congrats!! :)

I had two losses early and I’m now 13 weeks...all within a year so I’m hesitant but I’ve never made it this far and all signs are pointing to fine. I also had a beautifully uneventful first trimester. My parents and siblings knew at 6 weeks. My bf is telling his dad and mom this week so now I have to tell everyone. I’d announce later but his mom has a big mouth which is why we waited this long to tell her anyway. She’s one of those people that will make it all about her 🙄
Anyway I’m just hoping for the best 🤷🏼‍♀️

I wasn’t going to tell people until 20 weeks, I’m 17 weeks now and now bring monitored because of bleeding that may lead to preterm labor. I haven’t even told our parents. After spending the day in the ER, we had decided to wait till at least 24 weeks now when they would at least consider the baby viable if something were to happen. At this point we will only tell our parents and siblings. Would wait till 34 weeks to tell anyone else for better rates that baby would survive if I went early.

We waited until 8 weeks to tell anyone at all with my first pregnancy and this is why. I don’t tell people until I’m comfortable with others knowing. I know this is your baby and your news but becoming a grandma is a huge deal and most people aren’t expecting to have to wait quite this long before the parents announce it themselves. I would tell others while you have the ability to do it yourselves. It’s very interesting to see my mom’s perspective. Back when she had us, everyone knew you were at the hospital and then the dad would call all the immediate family and they’d pass the news around as social media wasn’t a thing. It was hard for my mom to get why my cousin had her baby on a Friday and didn’t announce it until Monday or that my aunt couldn’t tell her the name and all that. Back then, it was handled differently.
