Switch to IUD?

I’ve been on the combo pill for almost seven years now and I’ve loved it. Gets rid of my period and all the symptoms that comes with it. I’m usually good at taking it every day, but I slip up every once in a while.

I’m debating whether to switch to an IUD for a variety of reasons: I’m sexually active, I forget pills sometimes, I have a three month trip to Europe next year, and I’m a little concerned about healthcare with our idiot of a president.

Just wondering if anyone has switched before and what your experiences were? Should I switch to the IUD? Is it possible to keep taking pills with a copper IUD? Nothing set in stone yet, just exploring some other options! Thanks:)
