Working while pregnant during pandemic?

I am a teacher, and not working is not an option. I’m planning on working with a mask, shield, increasing sanitizing, distancing as much as possible, etc. I know many other pregnant women who still have to work. Anyone else in the position?

I’m a teacher too and am definitely nervous about returning especially since I have an autoimmune disease. Taking an unpaid leave with no benefits is not an option for me and my family though, so I’m going to do everything I can to be safe and protect myself and hope my school will have some strict requirements.

I’m not a teacher but I do work in the office at a school so I understand what you’re going through. When school starts I’m going to do the same thing you’re gonna do. I’m a little worried though because some people are so disobedient and do not follow the rules and regulations so I’m gonna make sure I take every necessary precaution.

I’ll be working as an instructional assistant, and I’m planning to take as many precautions as I can. I’m hoping the school requires masks and distancing along with sanitization and hygiene practices. I’m interested to see what decisions are made as things still seem to be up in the air. I’m debating telling the principal before the school year starts.

I’m in the exact same shoes! 2nd grade teacher here. I haven’t heard a lot about our reopening plans but I will be taking any and all measures to keep myself and my baby safe. Also, considering telling my principal sooner than I normally would’ve.

I’m an ER nurse working in it. I just do what I can to protect myself and pray a lot! I was really scared at first, but I’ve gotten to the point where this virus is here to stay so we might as well get used to it. I’m not taking it lightly by any means. What I have seen first hand is nothing I want to personally experience, but there’s only so much we can do to protect ourselves.
