Spotting

I am currently 11 weeks and I have been spotting off and on almost daily since about 8 weeks. I’ve had two episodes of heavier bleeding both before 9 weeks. My doctor says it can be normal but I never experienced this with my daughter who is 11. Had anyone else experience this and went on to have a healthy baby? I’ve had three ultrasounds all have shown a healthy developing baby and the heartbeat had always been good. Last time it was 178bpm and my HCG levels were 147,000. I know women have spotting but I’ve never known anyone to spot this long? I should also note the blood is never bright red, it’s usually a rusty orange/red color, light pink or brown in color.
