GENDER ON FIRST ULTRASOUND??

My friend told me about the Ramzi theory and if the placenta is on the left, it’s a boy and if it’s on the right it’s a girl. Based on my first (5week ultrasound) what does everyone think? Is the transvaginal ultrasound normal view or is it flipped? Let me know your thoughts!!

Hi, I am a Ultrasound Technologist and just wanted to let you know that the placenta has not formed yet. Therefore it is too early to tell the position of the placenta. The Yolk Sac is what provides your baby the nutrients it needs to grow until the placenta forms. Also the gender does not fully form until about 12 weeks or so and even then it’s normally too early for a technologist to see the gender and be 100% accurate. Good luck!

I thought it was the opposite. Left is girl and right is boy! I’m not sure how to read ultrasounds but there is a Facebook group that does! They were correct for both my son and daughter. I won’t know till Feb if they are correct a 3rd time!
