How did you stop thinking about your ex?

I went through a bad breakup 2 weeks ago. No I don’t call him or text him or want him anymore. But how do you stop thinking about them? I blocked his number and blocked him on fb. Deleted all photos. Still thinking about him everyday. Help.

Honestly, one day it just happens. It can take a long time or a short time, but you will notice you think of him less and less. I always found it helpful to think of reasons the relationship wouldn’t work and think of qualities I would want in the next person.

It's normal. It can take months to find your new life and routine. Be gentle on yourself. It's not easy but it WILL happen.

It's normal to still think of him, it's part of the process. But think of the reason you broke up not the good stuff. It does take time but you'll eventually stop thinking of him

I distracted myself. I got out and did things & found new hobbies. Make plans with your friends and go out and have fun! 😊

Time and distractions. I found if I was bored my mind would always drift to him in the early days (I also had zero desire to go back to him but he was a huge part of my everyday life for so long). I found it helped to keep myself busy. I started crafting again, visited with friends, took an online course, started exercising again. I just tried to do things I enjoyed and that were self improving so I was moving on to being my best self without the extra baggage.
