Experience with Copper IUD?

I just got a copper IUD about a week ago and was wondering how it went for others! Im excited to not worry about hormonal BC but this week has been really painful when I do anything but sit down.

When I got mines I dint really get aby pains just bleed for like a week or 2 a bit. It felt weird too, buuuutttt at least I wont get preggos

I’ve had mine for over six years now without any issues! I haven’t experienced any of the possible side effects, and we’ve never had a pregnancy scare with it. Definitely never going back to hormonal birth control again!

I had the copper IUD placed after I gave birth to my son in 2012. I had it for 4 years and I was so happy with it! I never had any problems with it and the best part is that there’s no added hormones with it in place. Of course you have some slight cramping for 1-2 days right after it gets placed but after that I never felt that it bothered me personally. I decided to take it out when trying to conceive my 2nd. It took me around 6-7 months to conceive but I honestly think it took that long cause I wasn’t tracking my periods and ovulation dates like I should of. If I were to go back on BC I definitely would choose the copper IUD again.
