Any idea what this could be on my sons ankle?!

Some type of bite maybe? It looks swollen and feels hard. But he is acting normal and doesn't act like it is hurting him...

Looks like a bee sting or mosquito bite

I doubt it's a spider bite. I've been bitten multiple times and there were always 2 fang marks and lots of puss. 
Could be a mosquito or ant bite that he's either allergic to or has been scratched until it's irritated. I would bet mosquito though. 
Has he been bitten by a mosquito before? One of my three is allergic to mosquitoes, one isn't, and one has never been bitten. This is what fresh mosquito bites look like for my son who is allergic. Then they turn into hard knots that are there for weeks. Not sure how well you can see it, but here are two mosquito bites on my son who is allergic that are a month old:

Or spider bite but it a really irritated bug bite and possably infected.

I see one puncture. Looks like a mosquito bite that got itched and may now be a little infected. I would put Neosporin on it with a Band-Aid. It should clear up quickly.
