To know or not to know the gender...
This is mine and my husband's first baby. We were able to get pregnant after 4 months of being off birth control. We are both extremely excited to expand our family and teach our mini all there is to know :)
My predicament:
Before I got oregnant, I saw a bunch of friends do all of these neat gender reveals and was thinking about what I would do when it was my turn. Well now that I am pregnant, I now don't want to know the gender. I want to keep it a surprise until baby pops out at birth. However my husband is not on the same page. He wants to know just as much as I don't. So he said that at our 20 week appointment, that he'll ask what the gender is and then keep it to himself until the baby is born. He said he wouldn't tell me or our families or friends. But he would probably share it with some coworkers. I feel as though that is too risky and that one day, he might be talking to my belly and say "he" or "she" or maybe we're out and a coworker of his sees us and congratulates us on our boy or girl... my heart would break if that would be how I found out.
What should I do? Give in and find out the gender, or put my foot down and argue till I'm blue in the face and refuse to see or know the gender for both of us?
