Any suggestions?!

I got mirena placed about a month and a half ago and I’ve had my period for almost three weeks now with severe cramping and back pain. Does anyone have any suggestions? Does it get better with time?

Did your doctor not tell you that this could happen? My doctor warned me like 8 times that this could happen. You can have abnormal bleeding for up to 6 months. I have liletta and it’s the same thing as Mirena but it isn’t doing this to me. If it’s really heavy, I would call the gyno because you could become anemic from bleeding so much. But if its just spotting, I mean you have a choice to go get it removed or wait another 5 months for your body to adjust.

You could have endometriosis which will affect it that’s what I had I get heavy ass periods and very painful periods I got the mirena and the I bled for two months straight then it fixed it’s self it’ll take a while but go to doctor if heavy and so much pain it could be ur body rejecting it also
