Has anyone done IVF gender selection ? If so what does it cost? Do you get a monthly payment plan or do you have to pay flat out? Does it go on your credit report?

Please no hate I have a good reason for the gender selection I already have a daughter and want one more daughter because my husbands family only values boys and I do not want her to be cast aside.

I would never recommend for someone to go through IVF who doesn’t have a reason related to infertility. It’s a long and hard process and there’s no guarantee it works. In terms of sex selection, you can end up with only viable embryos of one sex, so then you paid $30,000+ and went through all that to not end up with any embryos of the sex you want. Or you could go through it, have one viable embryo of the sex you want, and that transfer fails. 
Above all, I wouldn’t trust a doctor who allows people to do IVF strictly for sex selection. That’s not why the process exists, and most doctors will not do that. 
At the end of the day, it’s a ridiculous amount of money, time, and struggle just to get a vagina over a penis or a penis over a vagina.

Having done ivf I wouldn’t put my body through that if it was only to keep a relationship with misogynists. 
You should have a talk with your husband and tell him ups concerns and that you will shut his family down if they do sexist shit. Also you having 2 girls isn’t gonna stop their misogyny. They will most likely still police the girls and tell them how they should be acting for their gender. You and your husband need to be strong and shut it down immediately and protect your children. Misogyny is a disease that you can’t cure by having a specific gendered child.

Most clinics do not participate in gender selection.    If you find one who will agree it will cost somewhere between 20k and 30k for one cycle.   For payment plan you will have to seek out a personal loan.   
However, I did 3 cycles of IVF (spent well over 70k) and never once got a boy embryo so there is no guarantee you’ll get a specific gender in the end.

I’m not sure if this is what you’re asking, but we did PGS testing of our embryos for about $2500 extra, which tests for major chromosomal abnormalities, along with gender. You then get to choose which embryo you want to implant, so if you happen to have girl embryos you can choose to transfer a girl. Some people get all of the same gender, though, so you might not have a choice.

Doing ivf just for gender selection isn’t a great idea as it is extremely unreliable. We paid about 30k for our ivf with gender results (not for purpose of gender selection, but happened to be included). We did two retrievals to end up with 7 embryos - 4 boy and 3 girls but all the girls embryos were chromosomally “wrong” and not recommended to use. That being said, we WERE allowed to choose the gender (in US).
Then we had 2 failed transfers before the 3rd transfer worked and ended up using up all 4 boy embryos to get pregnant with 1 baby. So just saying a lot can go wrong and it’s very unreliable.  Unless you are very wealthy and have quite a bit of time to do all this it’s probably not worth it.
