Working after transfer period?

Hi ladies! 
This is my first time undergoing IVF. We’re also TTC for baby #1. I start my stims this week. 🙏🏼 We’ll be doing a frozen transfer about a month and a half after retrieval. I’m concerned with my occupation. I’m a hairdresser meaning I’m on my feet for hours in a day. I’m wondering if any hairdressers have still gone to work during this period with any suggestions from their experience? Or anyone’s thoughts about how I should go about the days following after my transfer. Just want to make sure I have time to take off work if need be. TIA!

I am a nurse and went back to work after a couple days with no issues, I was at risk for OHSS but I was fine. I was bloated for a few days and didn’t do anything too strenuous, but I felt pretty normal at about a week! Transfer is super easy (aside from nerves obviously). I got up after just a few minutes and went about my day:) My Dr told me not to lay in bed and continue living life. That’s what I did;) We transferred one 5 day blast (not tested). It was successful, my beautiful baby girl is 13 months old!💕 
PGS testing is a great resource especially for older women or those with recurrent loss, but we passed on it. It just personally didn’t feel right to us. I was 29/30 at the time with no history of loss. It wasn’t recommended by our Dr. I’ve read many stories about PGS tested embryos not implanting, or embryos that are discarded that could’ve very well been normal. Our Dr and also embryologist believes that embryos can correct themselves in their natural environment (in utero), and we believe there’s some truth to this. Of course there’s no way to know either way, IVF is all about keeping the faith!  We are prepping for IVF #2 soon and we will not be testing this time either. It’s a personal decision, there’s no right or wrong answer. You will know what feels right. Good luck on your upcoming cycle, so exciting! 😊😊

I’m not a hairdresser, but I can tell you - I’m thankful I took 3 days off for my retrieval and 3 days off for my transfer. 
For retrieval, I had so many eggs retrieved (40) and I physically couldn’t work, even at my desk. I wanted to be curled up in bed (I tried to go in the day after my retrieval - huge mistake) I went home and rested the rest of the week. 
For transfer, my doctor wanted me to stay home and rest. Not all doctors recommend that but I got pregnant so it clearly worked for me.

I am back to work the day after transfer. I would’ve worked day of transfer, except that it happen to fall on a Sunday! I also went back to work 1 day after retrieval. I move around a lot at work and do a lot of “sit down, then stand up, then sit down” and I was pretty sore by the end of the day. The second day after retrieval I felt almost back to normal. I would recommend keeping your schedule light if you decide to go back to work right away! Good luck

For transfer and retrieval I just took the day to relax and worked the next day, but I’m not on my feet.

I relaxed the day of my transfer but then went back to normal life the next day aside from avoiding heavy lifting. 
For the retrevial you will want a couple days to recover
