Loss of appetite??

Question

I’m 3 weeks after having 48.5 hours of labor and an emergency csection. I find myself not hungry at all, has anyone else experienced this? I know I need to be eating more, especially with breastfeeding. I’ve never had this happen before, I usually eat quit a bit. I’m a very healthy weight but I’m 5 lbs below my prepregnancy weight.

I bought protein shakes and protein bars because I have zero appetite and am breastfeeding so I know I NEED to be eating. Try that. I have a shake every morning for breakfast even though I’m not hungry. I do however for the most part forget lunch. I’m down 35lbs and almost 6wks pp.

I was like that the first few weeks after I had my daughter.  I attributed it to the shift in hormones and stress. I drank ensure to help nutrition-wise.

I had a similarly long labor and also have had a very small appetite. I basically live off snacks here and there. I lost 20 pounds in 2 weeks. Just now getting my appetite back at 4 weeks postpartum.

Could’ve wrote this myself. I have no desire for food like I did while pregnant and I have to remind myself to eat something other than drinking water. It’s awful. I’ve lost 30 pounds since my unplanned csection 4 weeks ago and I’m also breastfeeding/formula feeding

I’m now nearly 8 weeks PP and I went thru this too. They said it was normal- possibly stress. I’m back to my old ways now though because just 2 weeks PP I was down below my pre pregnancy weight but now I think I’m right at or a little above 😫. Hang in there!!

Such a strange coincidence, I just posted about the same thing earlier, I'm 7lbs lower than my pre pregnancy weight and never have any appetite since having my little one 5 weeks ago. I called my doctor's office today and haven't heard back. But glad I'm not alone!!!
