Is it normal for my own boyfriend to tell me after a fight to go see a ￼psychiatrist !? 
Feel a little insulted..

Did he have valid reasons, as to why? Or was he just mad? Are you hurt because it’s ridiculous? Or because the truth hurts? Reflect on the fight, do you argue a lot? Was the argument valid? Do you fight dirty? Is it just you who needs some therapy, or would your relationship benefit from both of you going, either together, or individually? Lastly. If he was just angry, and trying to hurt you, is this his usual tactic? Is he gaslighting you to make you feel crazy, so he can be abusive, or demeaning, or whatever to you? Try to really reflect on it, and see it objectively, and from all sides. There’s no shame in therapy, so leave your ego out of it, and really think about it. Talk to your man, talk to someone who knows you really well, and then decide how to proceed. Definitely don’t ignore it, because it’s something, no matter what. It’s a significant suggestion, and shouldn’t be taken lightly, even if it’s just that he was being a dick. He doesn’t deserve to hurt you, because he’s hurt.

Depends on the argument... sometimes I feel like I start shit and when I think back it’s not valid it’s my thoughts manipulating me and me reading into random ass shit and making a problem in my head and when I bring it up to people (usually after I already lashed out I realize I’m nuts) doesn’t just happen to me in relationships but with multiple people so I know I actually do need therapy but my husband never tells me I need to go but my husband has gone for himself and does see the benefits and me and him have gone together but we’re told both of our issues are from childhood and since we don’t actually have relationship problems that type of counseling wouldn’t be helpful and we need individual counseling
