A small rant
I work in a smaller office and they sent everyone to work from home back in March before I could tell anyone we are expecting. I've since told my small department just with a phone call so they know, but nobody else in the office is even aware I'm pregnant. They have now brought almost the whole office back but said they will probably be keeping me home until after the baby is here. I very much appreciate thier concern for my health and the opportunity to work from home so I don't want to sound ungrateful. I'm just a bit disappointed that I can't really share this pregnancy with my co workers, especially since it's my first one. I know it's just the way the world is right now and I'm taking all precautions I can to protect myself. It's just made me feel very lonely as my husband works retail so most nights I spend alone as well. I'm really getting excited to have this baby and want to talk about it all the time, but I only have my dogs for company most days now. My co workers were the people I used to talk to the most, and they may never get to see me with a bump or anything. Just kinda bumming me out a bit today. I feel like by the time I get back to the office everyone will be shocked to hear I now have a baby!! Anyway, thanks for listening.
