Breastfeeding and pregnant?

Is it more difficult to get pregnant while breastfeeding or is it still about the same probability? I have heard it can be more difficult cuz if you are breastfeeding you may not ovulate..... I am still breastfeeding my 12 month old but only at night before I put her down for bed (we have been in the weaning process for a while). My SO and I decided we are gonna try for baby #2 soon so I just got off BC because I have PCOS (along with other health issues) and it took so long to get pregnant with our first. But recently I have been having some symptoms that are different from just AF..... I am just having a hard time believing I could be pregnant with all the issues we had trying before and the fact I am still breastfeeding.

For me, i had to pretty much stop breast feeding before I fell pregnant.  I’d skip some periods and my luteal phase was short but it returned to normal after I dropped to every second day.

It took my husband and I 12 cycles to get pregnant with our son. He will be a year old on August 17th. We decided we wanted to start trying for our second now because it took us so long the first time. I’m still currently breastfeeding, in the weaning process as well. My period returned 5 months postpartum. This was our first month trying and I just found out a week ago I’m pregnant. I couldn’t believe it when I saw the positive test. God works in mysterious ways❤️ So, in my experience, getting pregnant while breastfeeding still was easier lol
