Babies Eczema really bad. Any remedies moms have?

My 7 month old nieces skin had a really bad breakout. The doctor said it’s a severe case of eczema but we are getting conflicting info from
Health care professionals about how to treat it. Has anyone had personal experience with this and has something worked?? Little trooper smiling through it all. ❤️

My daughter had pretty bad eczema mostly on her cheeks until she was almost a year old. They wound get so red they almost looked blistered. My doctor prescribed 1% hydrocortisone cream which I used occasionally, but what I found worked the absolute best was the Jack Newman’s nipple cream I was given in the hospital. I asked my doctor to prescribe me some more and I literally used it on everything. It would clear my daughters eczema up in a day. I also switched the Aveeno baby eczema products. My favourite from their line is the night time cream. It’s $20 for the container but so worth it and a little goes a long way. I would also use the aveeno eczema bath packets once a week I’m her bath. She’s 19 months now and no signs of eczema. Honestly if the Jack Newman’s cream doesn’t work I don’t know what will. Any chance it could be an allergy?  I know of someone that had a baby with severe eczema and it was an allergy to dairy.
