Back to back pregnancies

Hello ladies, first off please refrain from bashing me or rude/inappropriate comments. Has anyone dealt with or want to have back to back pregnancies? My husband and I just had our first April 1st, so she is 4 months. This past month I had to have foot surgery, I had to get off of my birth control due to medications I had to take. Well after surgery my husband and I had a long talk and decided for me not to go back on birth control. We want our children to be close in age. My sister and I were 16 months apart and we have been best friends our entire lives. Can always depend on each other and I want that for my kids. We understand there are risks because of the nutrient deficiency because I just had a baby. What are some of your experiences with conceiving 6 months or less apart after giving birth? Or thoughts about back to back babies?
