Stupid question?

I had a baby on Saturday and he’s amazing... such an easy baby. He sleeps pretty much all day and nurses about every 2-3 hours. Doesn’t really cry except diaper changes. I’m just not used to it because my first son hardly slept and was always crying. This new baby is content and just naps quietly all day. Is this normal newborn behavior? I get that may be a stupid question lol

My daughter was like that too, I didn't really see her eyes until she was 2+weeks old haha but it didn't last and now she's an awful day time sleeper.

That’s how my baby was. I thought “psh this is gonna be easy” And then she hit her first growth spurt and phew. She was like a whole different baby. Crying all the time for no reason, eating sporadically, awake for longer periods of time.

My daughter was like that. She was an extremely content baby and NEVER cried. Still at 2 years old she is a very happy little girl 😊

That was my son too. My family were simply amazed at how super easy my son was. Now, he is ten months old and he is one wild baby, lol

That was exactly my daughter till about 6 months. Then she started getting difficult

That’s how my little sister was and my mom had the same question because I was a terrible baby compared to her. My mom was worried my sister wasn’t normal since my newborn stage was so tough. But the doctor told her there’s a range of normal and my sister was fine. It’s probably the same for your baby and it could change. If you’re worried, you should always double check with the doctor.

Oh sweetheart, your baby isn’t even a week old... 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 give it time. It’s very normal for them to sleep all the time at this age.

That’s how both my kiddos were and other than a couple days at leaps and growth spurts, they stayed that way.

My 2nd baby ( a son) was like this!
He would sleep for 5 hrs at 1 week old
I was thinking smthg wrong- sometimes I’d wake him up for feed...
Well it lasted 5 months! Than he was up every hour - but only at night! 😂
