What now?

I'm finally done the whole process of my miscarriage. I was only 5-6 weeks pregnant. No heartbeat and my levels were not high enough to see anything on the scan. My HCG is now negative at 4.33 and I bled like a period for 7 days (not super heavy and no huge clots, just like a normal period, though I was sitting/light bleeding 2 weeks before that). My fertility doctor said my period will be back in a week or two but idk I don't have anything left to bleed right? Will I ovulate right after? Can I try again this cycle on my own k stead of waiting if I do ovulate? Like I'm confused what now. They want to wait until my next period but I want to start trying again right away since I hear your more fertile after a miscarriage? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
