Is it normal ??

This may be stupid but the last three days I've been having cramps  and today I was supposed to start my period and I'm either spotting  or nothing at all which isn't normal for me and having BAD cramps and back pain I was in the hospital a week ago so could this just be because my body went Thru a lot or should I be worried it's something else
