Can you smoke while pregnant? Anyone smoked while pregnant and their baby came out fine ?

There’s not enough research done on cannabis during pregnancy to say whether, or not it’s safe. 
I wouldn’t go off of “my kids alright, so yours will be too”. You’ll never know the outcome, until it happens.

Regardless of what your beliefs are on weed, depending on where you live your child can be taken from you immediately after birth if you test positive for weed in your system. That’s just not a risk I would be willing to take.

No do not smoke weed while pregnant lol. I smoked eeed pretty heavily until I found out I was pregnant, so like 5-6 wks but the first thing they told me was to stop which I did. It can cause birth defects n many other complications, isn’t worth it.

Emily Oster, an amazing author just put out an update to this on her website (it’s an edit to her book, expecting better). Bottom line was- the data we have has problems, but it appears that it increases several risks to the baby.

You can't just ask if a few people did it and their baby turned out okay, and therefore assume it's safe. There are people who smoke, drink, do drugs, drink excessive caffeine, take unsafe medication, drove 100 miles an hour on the highway etc and their baby turned out okay, that doesn't make it safe and that your baby will be fine. Until research comes out supporting its safety, which it hasn't, don't do it.

I know people who smoked their whole pregnancy in a state where its still illegal and everything was fine. 
But there just isn't enough research to show its safe or not. So why risk it??
