HELP Unsolicited advice from my MIL

Helena

My son is abt to be 14 months and since his birth my MIL was understandably excited. On occasion she would give advice that is now known to be dated, i. e. giving the baby a little baking soda to help w/ gas. To keep the peace (for all parties involved), I did ask her to to keep the unsolicted advice to herself. Every now and then when we are chatting she would 'accidently' slip in some advice. I would remind her of our discussion and she sd she 'forgot' and wld apologize. Just now she did it again. She called me back after i checked on my son (as she was keeping him) that our Dr didnt know what he was talking abt (as it relates to recommendation abt weeing him off the bottle, not using a walker (our house is full of carpet so a walker wld be useless to us) and switching to whole milk etc). And feels that i am just following the Drs orders blindly w/o any thought etc. She states she has raised 3 kids and they turned out fine and she knows what shes talking abt. Any time i tried to ask her to stop she wldnt let me really finish. To me it comes across as is she doesnt trust my judgement w/ MY son like I'm harming him in some way and that is whats making me extremely upset. Im not sure what else to say, w/o coming across mean. I am so frustrated I don't know what to do. 😠😡🤬
