24 months age gap this December...double stroller?

I'll have a newborn and a 2 year old in December. So we won't be going out much anyway since it will be winter. 
Would it be a waste to buy a double stroller? I do plan on baby wearing the youngest as much as possible, and when we'd probably be able to use the stroller (weather) they'd be closer to 2.5 and 6 months. What do you think?

I’m due December 1 and my son will be two in March and I for sure plan on getting a double stroller because when the weather is nice we go for a walk every day. So think in the summertime your new baby will be like six months old and it might be hot to wear the baby

My second is due any day now and my first is 2.5 years old and we got a double stroller! We got one that can be single or double for whenever my first does outgrow it.

I think it just really depends on how your two year old is. My three are 21 months apart. I didn't get a double stroller when I just had two because my then 21 month old loves to walk and I can trust him to stay with me at all times. He's not a wanderer. 
But if Covid wasn't a thing, I would have a double stroller now for my middle son and baby. Even though he's the same age as my first was when my middle was born, I can't trust my middle son to stay with me. And he hates his hand held. So he'd be likely to wander off.

I wouldn’t get one if you plan to baby wear. My kids are also Dec/Jan two years apart. Double strollers are too big and your two year old will get too big for it pretty fast. Some of my friends have the stroller with the standing pad for their older child. Those are more useful if you’re out and about a lot. I don’t see a lot of use for them these days.

We got the Chico bravo for 2. It’s a sit and stand double. It’s small enough that I don’t feel ridiculous using it for just one of the kiddos.
