Our little girl is here!

Matilda May was born 17th August at 4:23pm.

Her birth was a bit traumatic for me, I had a temperature that started when the epidural was put in and couldn’t get lowered. They let me labour all day and when I was finally 10cm they decided to test me for COVID and treat me as positive. This meant getting baby out quick and not letting me try push her out and they used the vacuum and gave me an episiotomy without telling me. They then left us for 2 hrs. I’ve since seen 2 nurses. One to give me antibiotics, one to tell me my results were negative. No one has shown me anything for baby or about treating my own injuries or offered me any pain medication.

But we are absolute smitten and adore her so much 😍
