I cant figure out masterbating... Help!

Okay so I am posting this on anon because I'm really embarrassed, but I cant really seem to figure out masterbating...

I'm 20 and I've tried expirementing with putting my fingers inside, but I don't really feel much, and when I try rubbing my clit nothing really happens either. I get excited, but as soon as I try to act on it the feeling never builds.

My ex couldn't do much to help either, it always felt like it was just kinda happening. I feel crazy! My friends talk about how amazing it is, but I just don't get it. I want to, it just doesn't work.

I've heard ab I ut shower head masterbating too but I honestly can't figure out the logistics, I feel like I'll just end up getting water all over the bathroom lol.
