Nursery Chair?

Question

I get the appeal of gliders, 100% but I just don’t personally like the look of them whatsoever. I’m hoping to be inspired as I’m sure there are some gems I haven’t considered- What other chair are you using in your nursery? Thanks!

We got this one for our daughter (now two, and still holding up great), and will get another one for this baby too. We didn't like the traditional looking baby glider either with the exposed mechanics at the bottom.

I got a power rocking recliner and absolutely loved it. I’m personally not a fan of ottomans, to me it’s one more thing to trip over and when cluster feeding comfort was key. The power feature was fantastic for those early postpartum days when I didn’t have the ab strength to push the leg support down plus it was quiet and I wasn’t jostling baby. It was about 300$ but totally worth it, got it in a fake leather and that made clean up so much easier too (plus no stains). Good luck!

I really wanted a plushy recliner. Buy Buy Baby had a "glider" that looked like a recliner and was insanely comfortable but it was out of our price range.

I got a reclining rocking chair with my first, and I love it. Although to be honest I was dead set on getting one that reclined and that is the feature I never use. It’s too awkward to be holding a sleeping baby and use my hand to pull on the handle and push back at the same time so I never do it. Plus to recline I need to be so far away from the wall it basically needs to be in the middle of the room.

I got a power swivel recliner from buy buy baby called Million Dollar Baby Classic linen power rocker swivel glider. It’s so very nice. I hate trying to unrecline a regular recliner especially with a baby and this one is beautiful.

We got ours for $440 from Walmart and LOVE it! It’s the Karla Dubois Emerson Nursery Rocket and Bassinet.  It’s really convenient having the bassinet attached because you can rock both yourself and baby without having to take baby out.
