Is this cheating?

Typical question if you’ve watched Friends. If two people are on a break, no matter for how long, and one of them has sex with another person, is that considered cheating? 
I side with Ross BECAUSE technically they were on a break, they weren’t broken up but the relationship was on pause. Thoughts?

Ross stormed out and made assumptions about the status of their relationship. No rules or boundaries were discussed, nothing. Taking breaks doesn't automatically mean you can sleep with whoever you want.
Rachel was always bratty to me and didn't want to take responsibility for anything. Sure Ross's behaviour leading up to the break was a very valid reason to want a break, but she also could have rather followed him to discuss it instead of just letting him leave thinking they were finished, and then writing him an enormous letter expecting him to take full responsibility for everything.
They both communicated badly and frankly were horrible for each other.

If anything happens during a break then it's no longer a break it's a break up. For me there's no going back if you've sexually and emotionally replaced me already.

So normally when a couple are on a break, having sex or what not IS cheating. 
I side with Team Ross only because he heard Rachel talking with mark over the phone, 
who he was jealous of. He thought that the only reason for their break was so she could be with mark. I’d be hella hurt too, coupled with alcohol, who knows what I’d do.

They were on a break so he didnt cheat. But I can understand her hurt because it hadnt even been a full day. He was hurt and looking for comfort. It happens. But they should have moved on.

Okay I voted Rachel bc I mainly understand her frustrations  for what he did, but in the real world I think personally things should be discussed before y’all just call break, like what is or isn’t cheating to y’all ? Why is this break even occurring? People shouldn’t do breaks usually anyways imo, but if people do, then this is what needs to be discussed. But also, another side note on Ross and Rachel, she should have never let him just storm out, they should have talked about everything. To him you can tell that he thought they were over, she just felt like she needed some time to think things over about them.
