How to deal with my MIL comments

So I’m a FTM and of course as any mom I want the best for my babies and I want to celebrate him everyday especially after passing by hard times after his birth when he was in NICU

Anyhow he just turned 6 months and I did a half birthday celebration it was a very small gathering only us; me and his father and grandparents both sides and 2 uncles

And my MIL commented her usual comment

This is all for the baby? I had three sons and didn’t do the same? And from where you get these ideas as if Im the one who invented the half birthday celebration or baby shower Or even a simple swimming suits with a matching hat she also said I have three sons and didn’t buy this!

I used to ignore her comments but now I started to get annoyed because why is she comparing! And trying to make me look as if I’m doing extra stuff for the baby!

I even bought him a play-mat she was like why! No need I didn’t buy it! 😅😅😅
