Oral sex talk

My boyfriend and I are each other’s firsts and we have tried oral before I have gone down on him and I don’t do it a lot but I do enjoy pleasing him and if he asks once in a while I do it for him. On the other hand he’s never went down on anybody except for me maybe once when we first tried it and he is basically scared to do it.. hair bothers him or scares him and I don’t know if it’s me but I do wash and keep myself clean, I need major help! How do I get him to want to go down on me and maybe should I use oral gels or what?
