Fixed neutered?

Question

If a female dog gets fixed will she stop getting her period going in heat? 
How do they stop that 
Our family has a dog we had him neutered, but a family member got a female dog she goes in heat and they have sex outdoor dogs mostly its frustrating because we have toddlers  and I don't think its appropriate.

They would stop going into heat if spayed. Though I have both a male and a female dog who are both fixed and the male dog still gets boners and tries to hump the female dog sometimes. I think it is more of a dominance thing and it normally isn't a succesful mounting or anything because my female acts like they are playing and doesn't sit still long enough to let it happen haha.

I mean it’s not your dog so the decision isn’t yours... but, yes if you spay a female it stops them from going into heat and having their periods. Make sure that they’re grown enough that their body has gone through their hormonal changes before spaying and neutering.

I know a dog female that was fixed. She is no more having period, but always get excited around male dog. And love to sniff and touch their penis.

I have a male and female dog , both fixed and my boy dog still humps the girl dog . It’s more of a dominance thing . And tell them to stop and redirect your toddlers attention .
