First Scare

Had my first scare this morning with baby. I’m 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant and as I wiped after using the restroom I saw small brown discharge on the paper. I immediately thought of the worse and started freaking out....

Instead of looking on the internet and scaring myself more, I went to the ER. I had no sharp pains in my lower abdomen and no excessive bright red bleeding. I know some of y’all think I may have been over reacting and that some brown discharge or discharge in general is normal sometimes during pregnancy, but this is my first pregnancy ever and my mindset was to see if baby was okay. 🥺

After spending a few hours in the hospital and getting blood work done and ultrasounds, my mind was at ease. I was able to see my little peanut and was told that he or she had a healthy heart beat. 💕👶🏽

Now the reasoning behind the brown discharge is that the old implantation blood was traveling down and getting pushed out. (I didn’t know this was a thing) First baby, first pregnancy, first everything. So this is very brand new to me and I’m learning as I go! I just thank god everything was okay and have a follow up appointment with my OB this Wednesday!
