Another update on my journey...
So as you all know I had methotrexate after going to the ER and finding out I had an ectopic in my left tube. I went back for my blood draw yesterday which was supposed to decrease by a minimum of 15%.
Needless to say mine only dropped 1%. My doctor told me I had two options at this point which was to come in for surgery or do another dose of medication. I had all weekend to think about this call and didn’t want to keep putting a chemo drug through my body and continue to be at risk if rupture so I made the decision to go into surgery. The doc also said he didn’t think doing another one would do much besides continue to put me at risk.
Doctor said everything went as good as it could possibly go and he was able to save my Fallopian tube which he also said was prestine😀 I am no longer at risk of rupture and losing my tube and am now healing.
He said this definitely will not delay my next FET and we made the right choice. I’m so glad he saved my tube and has no concerns. This doctor that I met in the ER has been a blessing. When God blesses us with our baby finally we will definitely continue to use him. He has been phenomenal.
So although this isn’t the best news, waking up after surgery knowing I still had my tube and it was in good shape made a huge weight come off my shoulder that’s been there since the beginning of all this.
Now time to heal so I can continue this journey. Thank you all for your support!
