What do contractions feel like?

I am that FTM. Right now I have period-like cramps that come and go. I feel like they have gotten a bit more intense throughout the day but still nothing crazy intense....
Could these be contractions at 37+4 or am I just psyching myself out?

Yes! My doctor said the only way to know for sure it to get your cervix checked. I think they feel like intense period cramps

I’ve been having them too, and my doula said it sounds like contractions.  I’ve only had them for the past two nights, but nothing regular, and then they go away in the morning.  She said it’s normal for contractions to come & go before they get more regular.

I’ve had off and on period cramps for the last week and a half. Still not timbale contractions yet. Hope yours lead to real contractions and definitely call your OB if you have questions or concerns.

Yup! Those are contractions! My doula told me to call her when those start.. as it means she’s officially on call.. and she’ll check in about when they become regular. Though they can be irregular for some time.

They could be. Time them. There’s apps you can download that will give you data like the frequency and time between etc.

Strong period cramps. Its hard to say sometimes because women have a different tolerance for even period cramps.. but its doable. I had my first baby with no epidural.
