I need some prayer!

I'm asking for some prayer. My husband has some violent/anger outbursts. He had a really bad one today because i wanted to go spend time with my grandma because hes been sick and I needed a break. It started with him hitting the window because the dog ran off. Then he ignored me when I asked what time he wanted us to come back. He threw his phone and it broke the tv. Then he got off the couch and punched it to break it more. And he tried to rip it off the stand hitting it repeatedly.

I had me and my daughter already packed and I called my grandma to come get us. My husband took off his ring and threw it across the street. Then he told me to go get his ring.. I went and grabbed it and sat it on the porch then went across the street. He came outside and yelled at me to come back, I told him I was not coming back with how he was acting. My husband yelled that he's getting a divorce and slammed the door.

I called my grandma and as she showed up he tore the blinds out of the window. (We live in a apartment)

I got in the car and decided to call the police to have it documented.

Now I need to decided whether or not to get a protection order. I don't know what to do.
