Nexplanon long period

Hey so I got me Nexplanon in January of this year and I got my period twice after that but they were very short and I mostly spotted. It’s now September so I’ve had it for 8 months, I got my period last Wednesday and today is Thursday my periods usually last 5 days but it’s been 8 days so far with no signs of stopping 😩 has anyone else dealt with something like this? I thought I was done with my period since I’ve been on Nexplanon for more than 6 months now with no period until now 😩
