Prenup?

I am about to be married in 4 weeks and I'm considering getting a prenup. My soon to be husband doesn't have any assets besides his house that he wants to sell. He also has credit card debt but no savings and no 401k. I have assets and a house and savings that I want to make sure my children get should something happen to me and I want to make sure if we end up divorced (hopefully not but I've already been through 1 divorce) but I want to make sure he can't touch my assets that I have before marriage.
Is a prenup the correct way to go? Please advise!

I wouldn't marry anyone preparing to screw me in a divorce. Not the way I'd want to go into a marriage.

Yes, but you might not have enough time in 4 weeks. Contact an attorney and see. As this is your second marriage and children involved, I think this makes sense. I used to think prenups were odd until I really had a chance to think about it. My friends future wife’s family wants my friend to sign one. Her future wife’s family is very wealthy and dad is a CEO of a huge company. My friend is refusing to sign one, but I kinda get why. My friend is very unrealistic with $$, even though I know her and her future wife are made for eachother, I get it.

If you’ve already been through one divorce I’d say it’s definitely worth considering. Not meaning that this relationship is likely to fail, bc that’s not true, but you know first hand how messy and damaging divorces can be. If you have a prenup, it’s there just in case something should happen. 
Talk to your fiancé about it. He should understand as you’ve been through a divorce before (that you probably didn’t see coming when you married your ex) and get that you want to cover your bases just in case, especially for your kids.

I'm pretty sure that's called a post nuptual agreement since you're already married. Up to him whether he'd agree to sign it or not.
