Anyone have the Mirena IUD? Pros and cons?

Considering getting one, I had the nexplanon (arm implant) before but it gave me horrible cystic acne. Not ready for baby number 2 so birth control is a must. What’s your experience with it?

Do not get a mirena. I had one. It had to be removed because it almost Perforated my uterus. If it had I would never be able to have child. Since getting it removed my periods are longer and heavier and more painful. They said I wouldn’t have the issue of conception time after getting it removed as a gimmick to get it. I have been struggling to conceive. ￼

I had the iud for twice. 5 years the first time and 3.5 years the second time around. I did not have issues with conception upon removing, I was pregnant within a month upon removal. I just recently switched to the non hormonal one due to the lack of sex drive I had in my marriage. I tried pills, diet changes, and life style changes trying to boost but I realized how long I’ve been having hormones in my body and decided to switch to see if it changed things. It did, drastically. My sex drive has returned but my doctor said the mirena released such a small amount of hormones it should not have caused any changes. My body is sensitive and honestly I did not realize the changes it made to my body until I removed it. 
Only your body will know what works for it and doesn’t. It’s easy to place and remove, depending on cervix. I love the maintenance of an iud but the hormones one wasn’t for me. My periods are still adjusting and have changed with the copper one but still a minor change for me.
