Will the tech tell you if there is a problem at your anatomy scan or do you have to wait till your next doctors appointment?

The tech shouldn't tell you, but if it's serious you'll probably find out right after right after the scan or later that day via phone call.

Here at my clinic, for my two children- all of the ultrasounds I’ve had I had the DR follow up with me right after my scan. I would have my ultrasounds, go to the waiting room and about 10 minutes later go see the doctor and they do the normal routine stuff and Doppler etc.

I would never take advice from a tech, both pregnancies they have told me something serious was wrong and my babies were missing parts of their brains... my family just has smaller heads lol it’s scary and I’m 25 weeks going through it STILL both times a TECH told me and they swore up and down until I saw a specialist and they say my baby is totally fine.

There not really allowed to tell you anything your Ob has to go over the ultrasound and be the one to tell you anything 💕 thankfully I'm lucky this time and have an appointment with my Ob after the anatomy scan

I asked my first ultrasound tech if everything looked alright and he said yes. The other two have said before they aren’t allowed to tell me anything besides it the heart rate is normal since they are just running the scans for dr. That is the doctor’s responsibility to review and advise if any concerns. 
But after every ultrasound appointment I have a consolation with dr. They get results most of the time by then and would address any concerns then. One time the doctor after said the results weren’t submitted for some reason but she would call me if there were any issues. So at my office anyway, the dr should be notified immediately after appointment and address any issues then

Most things the tech can’t tell you anything. Mine occasionally would go “I can’t get a good look at X, she may ask me to try again.” But I did mine with MFM so the ultrasound and appointment were always scheduled together even though I was there for my own medical issues not the baby. 
One time the tech did tell me my cervix was borderline for too short and not to be surprised if I was told I needed more ultrasounds.

The tech isn’t your doctor so they’re not in the place to tell you anything. If they see a problem they’ll let your doctor know about it and they’ll go over the scan with u at your next appointment.

Ask them at the beginning what they can and can't tell you. Thankfully, we haven't had anything wrong but I've asked at the beginning of each of ours and our techs (different ones) have all pretty much narrated what they were doing.

All of my scans are done w the mfm so the tech does it the mfm reviews from another room then comes in to talk to me same appointment ...
