Is it selfish of me?

I’ve been breastfeeding my little one for almost a month now and I had always had hopes of breastfeeding for at least a year,but I absolutely hate the feeling of her sucking on me. It doesn’t happen always; mostly at night. It gives me the grossest feeling. I am thinking about stopping and switching to formula cause I cant stand the feeling. Is it selfish of me if I do switch?

You could try pumping maybe? But it's not selfish at all! You need to be your best self to take care of your little one.

Have you tried magnesium calcium supplements? They can help to reduce some breastfeeding aversion.

You’re not selfish for feeling that way. I get like that at times too then I have to remind myself how expensive formula is & how quick it runs out whether if you have wic or not 😩

Not selfish. With both of mine, I had to stop pumping/breastfeeding because it was making me crazy. I had a lot of guilt at first but I feel much more relaxed without the pressure to get my milk supply up.
