Depo Shot

Question

So I have this question. I’m going into the navy soon and I’m currently on the pill. I already forget to take them here and there and I don’t want to be on them when I go in. However I have ovarian cysts that cause me excruciating, crippling pain. Birth control is how I stop the pain and it works wonderfully. I’m considering the depo or the arm implant. Any advice? Would it effect pt?

I would recommend the NuvaRing. My sister used it and loved it. 
I strongly ***would NOT*** recommend the Deposhot. I had the worst side effects, which have continued to this day. First, I bled for 3 months straight and then gained a ton of weight, like 50lbs when I didn’t change my eating habits or exercise habits. Still fighting to lose that weight even 10 years later. My metabolism went through the floor when I got the shot. And I am not the only one who has had these exact side effects.
Can’t give you a review of the implant cause once I linked what happened to my body to the DepoShot, I went directly back to the pill and wouldn’t try anything else.
