Bleeding while on birth control?! Is it normal?

After my last period I started taking birth control since my partner and I have been getting more serious.

However, after about 9 days of taking it consistently at 11am it slipped my head in the moment and I took one at 12pm instead.

I went on about my day and not even 2 hours later it was as if I had a full on period! It's been about 2 days now and I'm continuing to take my birth control in hopes this will go away. It's not just a little spotting yet more of a medium flow. I can also see uterus lining when I wipe. I'm so frustrated and paranoid.

Is this normal? Am I just overreacting?

Please help a girl out 😞 I'm over this anxiety.
