Boyfriend doesn't want to talk

We live eight hours away from eachother and he basically refuses to talk to me. We play xbox together at night but besides xbox party's he doesn't like talking to me. He refuses to FaceTime, which is fine because I get being self conscious, but he also refuses to just call me though because it's "annoying" which he hasn't even done with me and just did with his ex. He says he misses me when he texts me but then won't talk to me. And I for the record I hate texting, especially him because hes a dry a** texter, but I do it because I want to talk to him. He keeps making me accommodate him but won't compromise anything for me and idk what to do
