Discharge 😔
When I was 17 my discharge got a little thicker, for the longest time I thought I had a yeast infection or something. I wasn’t experiencing any pain or itchiness, just abnormal discharge. I went to planned parenthood and they said nothing was wrong. I was still confused bc I still didn’t feel normal. It hurts to have sex in general bc it’s so dry down there, but it feels better when I used a lube. I then went again at 18 and they said I did have a yeast infection, so they gave me the pill that was supposed to cure it, but nothing happened. I’m now 19 and I went in again today to finally get rid of what I thought was an infection, they tested me and said everything is perfectly fine, NO YEAST INFECTION, they explained to me how discharge changes over time and there are some people with healthy vaginas but they sometimes have trouble because their discharge may be different. The doctor suggested that I always use lubricants and try doing some foreplay. She also said that there is nothing to be ashamed of about using lube and that it really helps. I took her suggesting and bought lube. I have been extremely insecure about getting intimate since my discharge has changed, ofc I want to be sexually active with my partner, but a part of me is scared and ashamed of myself because I don’t feel normal. I’m worried about what they might think or if they will enjoy it. I have had sex before with a condom but I have never let them do oral on me because of how my vagina is. I never know what to tell them if they ask. I’m really tired of feeling like this, many of people have told me that this is normal, but I’m not sure what to think anymore. Anyways I want to ask if anyone else had had this problem and what would be the best thing to do if I want to be intimate with my partner. Does lube help? Could they still do oral on you with lube? Is this problem that I have normal? What could I do to help? I have no idea what to do at this point! 😔💔
