100% support for SOs in school?

If you've ever decided to completely support your SO (housing, finances, etc) so that they could finish school, what helped you make that decision? Did you do it because you were married? Would you do it if you weren't?

I’d support the person I’m with because I see their needs as my own. If I have abundance and they need abundance to focus on their dream, giving would be easy for me.

I would do it because I loved that person and wanted to see them succeed. My husband supported me through school and he said once I’m done with school and start working he wants to cut down to part time and be more of a stay at home parent and I told him I was totally up for that.

Marriage doesn’t change how committed you are to someone. Financially if I were able to support my SO so they could go back to school full time, I would if that were an interest of theirs and they needed a better job. Not married. I think if you believe in your partner, believe in the two of you being together forever, and believe it would better their life, you should do it (as long as they’re open to that idea and you can financially afford it).
