Got screwed buying our home

We bought our house 5 years ago with no issues with the home inspection or appraisal. Now we are selling and no one understands how we could’ve bought it in the first place because the crawl space doesn’t meet the guidelines and the only way we could sell it is with an all cash buyer. It’s going to cost 10,000-15,000 or MORE if foundation work is needed. I feel like we got absolutely fucked and I’m wondering if it would be at all possible to take legal action against the inspector or something? I feel ridiculous asking but we are so screwed because of this.
