How long did you wait?

Hi all!
I recently found out I'm pregnant with my second baby last week 😍 quite a shock but very excited! I rang my GP surgery the same afternoon and was told I'd be put on a waiting list for a midwife to call me. I realise there's probably a big back log due to covid, but does anyone know how long they waited to hear from someone?
My main concern is that I truly have no idea how many weeks I am (I was still taking the mini pill when I got pregnant...!) No clue when my last period was. When I rang the surgery back on Monday to check waiting times, the receptionist basically said "that's nothing to do with me, we just pass the info along, sorry" 🙄

I had the same during lock down my last period was in October and I found out in march I was pregnant I called the early pregnancy unit and explained I could be around 20 weeks and that I was having bleeding and pain (I wasn't but sometimes you have to tell a lie to get them to take you seriously) I was offered a scan the next day!

You can self register with most hospitals now so I would do that. Doctors surgeries are rubbish!

I self registered but when I contacted the midwives (to find out how long) they said it is at least a 14 days wait until they will contact me to arrange an appointment. I haven't had my booking appointment yet and I'm nearly 10 weeks.

Thanks, all! I self-referred this morning and they said it could take up to 10 business days to get back to me. I feel so much better at least having a time line instead of being told 'thats not my problem' 🙄 
If all else fails and I don't get a scan soon, I'll book a private one- at least my husband can come along to that one!

I hadn't had a period due to still breast feeding, I was 9 months pp so I 'could' have been alot further along I guess but I knew I was only a few weeks...I rang the gp and the midwife rang 2 days later  although I'm now 23weeks amd im yet to have a face to face appointment (other than my scans)

Call back and ask for the midwifery team’s number directly (or maybe your hospital could provide it) they need to do certain things before twelve weeks so it’s important that they figure out your DD
