Waiting for D&C... what did you do?

Hi girls, my pregnancy stopped (apparently 2 weeks ago) but I only discovered it 2 days ago. I have surgery (d&c) scheduled for monday. My problem is that I don't really know what to do while waiting for it... I'm very sad of course but physically I'm alright. Any ideas how to get busy for the few next days?

I’ve had two D&Cs this year, so I’m speaking from experience. Keep yourself busy and your mind off of what’s going on. When I would feel myself getting into a bad mental space I would literally have to go clean or organize something just to stay distracted. My miscarriages were very traumatic for me but my house was SO clean. I’m now almost 6 weeks pregnant and still dealing with the trauma from back to back miscarriages and in therapy. 
Keep your head up. The storm will pass ❤️

I just had a D&C this past Wednesday.  I was fortunate that the dr was able to get me scheduled the next morning, so I wasn’t waiting around.  With my previous D&C, I had to wait a couple days.  I ended up just going to work and doing my normal until the procedure.   Everyone is different though.  This time around, I had already started to spot and dilate, so I was just thankful we were able to get the D&C completed before my body started to miscarry on its own.  
So sorry for your loss.

i’m sorry for your loss I asked you on another post how far along you are just hoping they’re not diagnosing you too early. and it’s never easy to go through a miscarriage.. I think the best thing you can do is take yourself out of the house for the next couple of days and maybe find a Netflix show to binge . I pray you get your rainbow baby soon don’t give up ❤️

Never gone through this so I’m speaking out of turn but wondering if being with your SO or family and friends will help to get your mind off of things? So sorry ❤️❤️ God bless.

Thanks a lot for your answers and nice thoughts. I think I'll follow your advice and keep myself busy... been cleaning a lot today, and started to organize my kids' game room. Plan to spend some time with family this week-end and I'll definitely keep the netflix binge watching for after the procedure 😊 Thanks again, the support I get here means a lot!
